How to impress your new partner with fresh flowers
Whenever you meet somebody new, you never know if he or she will be the one you are going to spend the rest of your life with. We all want to start a new relationship off in the best possible way and avoid the obvious pitfalls. So many of us are somewhat nervous when we send flowers to our partners for the first time. However, these simple steps can help you avoid such anxiety and the next time you order from your florist, you will do so with confidence! Remember, each relationship is different so feel free to adapt some of these points to suit your partner’s preferences.
Step 1
It is always a good idea to keep a journal handy and write down all important and special occasions in it. Sure, you might think that it’s easier to set a reminder on your phone or computer but that reminder will go off once and then it’s gone! If you are busy with work or something important at home, you will look at the reminder, continue with your work and forget all about it. So, the safest option is to keep a small diary and write down all the upcoming events down. Also, as soon as you find out your partner’s birthday, you should write it down before you forget! You do NOT want to ask over and over again! Also write down milestones of your relationship like when you met, where you met and when your first date or first kiss was.

Do some information fishing. What this means is that you should find out your partner’s favourite things as soon as possible. This will help you make your gifts that much more special by paying attention to all the little details.

If you have a journal with all these events jotted down inside, then you should have no problem planning ahead. Check through your journal at least two weeks ahead so you know what’s coming up.
Step 4
When you have a couple of weeks until a special occasion, it’s time to start shopping. Take into account your partner’s favourite kind of flowers as well as their favourite colour. If you can get a bouquet with both that’s even better! For example, if you partner loves the colour pink and they love roses, choose a bouquet of pink roses. Here’s another thoughtful tip: Do some research as to the flower associated to your partner’s birth month and try to include it in the bouquet when giving them a birthday arrangement. For instance, if your partner’s birthday is in January, the flower for this month is the carnation. If you partner’s favourite flower is roses and their favourite colour is pink (as an example), then ask your florist to put together a combination of pink roses and carnations. You can fill your partner in later on the fact that you included their birth flower.
Extra tips:
There is no need to wait until your partner’s birthday just to send flowers. You can surprise them with a bouquet out of the blue! In fact, this is a sure way in which to impress them unexpectedly. Take them off guard a little bit by having your florist make the flower delivery and include a note that invites them out to a romantic dinner.
